Stirling Sykes began playing Bass guitar on his 8th birthday and later transitioned into a guitar player, drummer, and keyboard player as well. At just 11yrs old Stirling founded the band Selfish Machines and is the lead guitarist and songwriter. Even though Selfish Machines has no member over 12yrs old they have begun building a strong fan following while opening for bands such as Dokken, Y&T, and Faster Pussycat as well as an upcoming trip to SXSW 2014 for Dirty Fest. Currently when not dealing with school work, he is in the studio writing and recording the soon to be released debut album for Selfish Machines and rocking stages all over Texas.
