Little Big Town Meets Clayton Crew

What an amazing show we got to see here in Southern Oregon. Our new Jackson County Amphitheater is a perfect place for artists to perform. Last Tuesday, at the Jackson County Fair, Little Big Town invited us out to meet them and to watch their amazing performance. Thank you Mark Wheeler, and Bobby Simmons for working with us and Little Big Town to make it all happen. We look forward to making more custom guitar picks for these stars in the future.

Get the Classic Look

At Steve Clayton, we offer a variety of picks for custom design. One of the materials that can be used for custom creations is called ultem. Ultem picks are a favorite of our customers because of the high tone quality that they provide, and the grainy non-slip feel of the material itself. Ultem picks are available in three different shapes; standard, rounded triangle, and teardrop. You may also choose from 8 different gauges, ranging from a very flexible .38mm to an extra-heavy 1.2mm. Ultem picks can work with designs of single or multiple colors. However, when you design your custom [...]

Rock Out with Custom Picks

We always like to take time to show off the cool designs that we produce for our custom picks, and here is a new collection! It is safe to say that many of the customers who order our custom picks have a passion for music, and we liked these designs because they managed to incorporate different types of musical equipment in their art. As you can see, we have a microphone, a speaker, headphones, and a boom-box…all designs submitted to us recently. These pieces of equipment are all things that help to feed our love for music, so why not [...]

Maximize Your Design Space

Here at Clayton, we love to see the different designs that our customers submit to go on our custom guitar picks. Sometimes we notice that people want to include a lot of information on their picks, or they have a design that has a lot of detail and takes up quite a bit of space. We know that guitar picks are small, and sometimes it is hard to cram everything you want into a small space. This is why we wanted to offer a solution to the problem; learn how to maximize your guitar pick design space!! The first move [...]

Ultem Picks, #1 In Customer Ratings

The ultem picks are my personal favorite guitar pick to play with.  These picks are great because they provide a good grip and are a strong durable material.  They also provide an appealing transparent look.  Just recently we had mentioned about how on our Musician’s Friend’s website the Steve Clayton ultem standard guitar picks are ranked first in customer ratings.  I personally prefer to play my acoustic guitar with the ultem picks as it provides consistent tone and volume.  Recently I have noticed some excellent art work on our ultem [...]

Springtime: Birds and Trees

Here’s another look at some cool designs that we have been producing recently. We have noticed that some great spring-time art has been submitted throughout the months of March and April. The designs shown here all use birds and trees, and we feel that this art is both aesthetically pleasing and works well on the small design space of the custom picks. It seems that birds and trees are a trend in the world of graphic art currently…and now they are showing up at Steve Clayton, Inc.! The pick materials vary for these designs. Included in the photo here are [...]

Band overseas signs with Clayton “BILOCATE”

Bilocate is a band well know in Jordan. They came together with brothers Ramzi and Waseem Esayed, got started, and then joined with guitarist Baha’ Farah, and later added guitarist Rami Haikal. In 2005, they released their first full length album “Dysphoria.”  The album had received lots of airplay on the local governmental radio station on Jordan FM.  In July of 2008 they [...]

Ultimate Ultem

One of the pick materials that we use here at Steve Clayton is called Ultem, and it is often overlooked when designing custom picks. While the Ultem picks are slightly more limited in the area of design because they can only support three different colors, they are appreciated for their durability and strong playing quality. When designing Ultem picks, users of our custom site may submit any design that contains black, brown, and/or red colors. These three colors can make for an [...]
