Pick of the Week — Natalie Wattre
This week’s Pick of the Week was created by musician Natalie Wattré. “Natalie came up as a musician in the LA band the Extinct. She was one of the 2 large contributors of songs to the bands extensive repertoire. In the mid 1990’s the Extinct was signed to Sony Publishing. In 1997 Natalie left the Extinct and soon after found that she was more inclined to the independent way of life which lead to the beginning of Swirly Girl Records. Critics have said that her voice is ‘reminiscent of Janis Joplin’, ‘akin to the Tracy Chapman/Joan Armatrading school of throaty, emotional expression.’, ‘Emotionally driven’ and ‘Vocals that hold nothing back’. Her songwriting has been described as ‘Storytelling that makes the listener realize the unapparent realities of their surroundings. Music of reminiscence. Music to base your life on.'” Find out more about Natalie and her music at www.NatalieWattre.com. Natalie’s very classy pick design was produced on our acetal rounded triangle pick material.
