Joe Hero
Joe Hero was originally formed by three long-time friends and local music veterans who have performed together for years under different scenarios and with different bands. Drawing upon this experience, they formed as a rock trio in 2005 and recorded their initial 4-song demo that summer. After writing numerous songs and playing numerous shows in their area, Joe Hero completed the recording of their debut album which was released in 2007 with the title “A Hero’s Welcome”. Described as “in-your-face hard rock with a turn-it-up attitude and no BS” by Darryl Gregory of Indie-music.com, A Hero’s Welcome is available through CDBaby.com or iTunes. Music from the album has received traditional radio and online radio airplay, and has also been featured in at least twenty different online podcasts across the globe. In August 2010, the band released their follow-up recording, a 4-song EP titled “The Vandermint Sessions”. For booking or other info, contact JoeHero@nc.rr.com.
In summer 2011 Joe Hero created and began booking dates for “A Salute to the Foo Fighters”, a set of FF cover songs inspired by one of their favorite bands.
