Chick Picks!
We’ve been making picks for the company Chick Picks for a couple of years now. They sell guitar pick earrings. They have some very intricite designs, and even add accents to the guitar picks that completely look like the picks were made for earrings. You can check out their website by clicking here. These are a couple of picks we did for them this week that we wanted to share. They always order White Delrin because it works very well with the [...]
Overbleeds on Pearl
Here is a really neat pick that I thought we could share today. We don’t often print overbleeds on Pearl, but this one really came out looking stunning. On our Pearl material we use transparent inks with the exception of black, so that the pearl can show through to the image. At first we weren’t to sure about this one due to the intense colors, however, it turned out better then any of our expecations! It has a really cool water effect to it. This is a good example [...]
Sweetheart Picks
So through the years I’ve seen quite a few picks made that I label “sweetheart” picks. These picks have speical sayings for a loved one on them. Well, my boyfriend is being deployed to Iraq for a year (he is in the National Guard) so I thought I would make him some picks with 100 different love notes and inspirational sayings on them for when he is missing home. Even though they were ooey gooey he really appreciated them! If you are [...]

Nikon live features all kinds of really talented bands, if you have a chance to go to one of the concerts you will not [...]
Serving our Country – American Hotties and Camo Picks
This week my brother-in-law was called to duty over in Iraq. As of today he has arrived into Iraq safely and will be there for the next year. We sent over several guitar picks with him including our American Hotties and our Camo Picks. Playing music is such a great past time for the troops over there. Over the years we have supported many efforts to send musical products to the troops, as we appreciate all that they sacrifice [...]
Ultem vs. Tortoiseshell
A loyal customer e-mailed us today asking about the difference between our Ultem pick and authentic Tortoiseshell picks. What a great question for today’s post. Most of you have probably never played with real tortoiseshell before. This is because it became illegal to produce/import tortoiseshell into the United States in 1947, which was before even I was born! A lot of guitar picks are made to have the appearance of tortoiseshell such as our cork-grip picks. However these are actually made of celluloid. Some people bring me some pretty convincing celluloid and tell me they have a true tortoiseshell pick, [...]

Earth Day – Garage Band Picks
Since it is Earth day we thought it would be fitting to talk a little bit about our Garage Band guitar picks that we released in January of ’09. Each package contains over 100 mixed guitar picks. This mixed assortment are our picks that didn’t get put back into their correct re-claim bin, or fell onto the floor, where misprinted, etc. These all get collected, all images removed and re-packaged into nice clear boxes. Not only are the picks in the box [...]
