Pick of the Week — MESSER

This week’s Pick of the Week is an awesome, high-detail design submitted by the band MESSER. Here is some info about them from their Reverbnation site:

“MESSER started writing late July 2009. With only a handful of shows since then, the Dallas, Texas, group has raised the attention of industry and fans alike by the lightning fast rise of popularity, both locally and nationally. Although some bands prefer not to be compared to anyone, MESSER finds that fans of Soundgarden’s candor, Velvet Revolver’s swagger and the grind of Motley Crue’s [...]

Picks for a Cause!

During the past week, we have had the opportunity to make custom guitar picks to promote an awesome cause. We are excited about this organization, and we are so glad that they chose us to help support them! The Save the Ta-tas® Foundation and ta-tas® Brand was created by clothing designer Julia Fikse as a way to fight breast cancer using laughter and fun as a way to fight a serious disease. Her playful line of t-shirts and accessories include messages such as “save the ta-tas” and “friends don’t let friends lose ta-tas.”  Her messages of hope and humor have reached [...]

Pick Art

We have had some customers submit some really cool pick art recently, and we wanted to show off these designs! All of them are very colorful, and they were created using various types of artwork. The pick on the far left was made using a cartoon image, on our white delrin picks. The center pick has a painting on it, which appears 3D on our white pearl picks. The pick on the far right uses a nice photo of northern lights to create a unique look. For full color art such as the designs shown here, we offer three different [...]

Pick of the Week — Manifest Destiny

This week’s Pick of the Week is for Manifest Destiny, a band made up of longtime fans of The Dictators who never got a chance to see them live due to the geographic (and perhaps cultural) isolation of Fresno, CA. Comprised of local longtime musicians, Manifest Destiny (www.manifestdestinyrocks.com) is a musical tribute to The Dictators which aims to save rock and roll, or have the most fun failing in the attempt. Their genre definition is Rock, Rock & Roll, Proto-Punk, Post-Glam Rock, The Missing Link. Band members include Marvelous Jonny Manbeef (vocals), Zinck (guitar), Essé (drums), Squink (bass), Ross The Boss Too (guitar). They have [...]

Pick of the Week — Megan Redmond

This week’s featured pick was created for country music artist and songwriter Megan Redmond,  from Denver, CO. She has a beautiful design with great colors that turned out really well on our acetal picks.  Here is some information about Megan’s work, taken from her website: “Megan’s vocal strength and sound have been compared to a young Faith Hill with a pinch of Alison Krauss.  Megan’s music, and the covers she chooses, lean towards creating a fun, energetic emotional experience that all her fans can personally relate to. At only 15 years [...]

Pick of the Week — The Whiners Band

This week’s Pick of the Week is for a band called “The Whiners.” The design was printed on our acetal picks, and we liked how they used a full bleed option to put their logo on the top half of the pick. Here is a little info about the band, taken from their website: “Jamie and Keith are The Whiners. Consider them NOS. NOS? Musicians who are into equipment and gear will know NOS means “New Old Stock”. They are based in Toronto, and they were originated by Keith in [...]
