Simply glowing!
We wanted to show off some of the recent glow-in-the-dark pick designs that customers have ordered. Glow-in-the-dark picks are still a fairly new item that Steve Clayton, Inc. has provided for custom design, but they are definitely a hit! Glow picks don’t look that much different from other picks at first sight, but all you have to do is put them under a bright light for a couple minutes, and they are sure to stand out at a dark rock concert! Simple designs with thick, bold lines come out best on the glow picks, which is why we chose these [...]
Our Acetals are Ace!
The Steve Clayton team is proud to announce that we have been included in a blog for Live Musician Central. Live Musician Central is a site that provides resources for performing musicians, including information about being in a band, gigs, band equipment, and how to improve live band skills. The blog entry dedicated to Steve Clayton, Inc., referred to our acetal picks, and the reasons why our they are chosen over other brands. The main reasons include that our acetals have a sweat-resistant surface, they are long-lasting, and they have a good hardness that allows for a sharp attack when [...]
Pretty Pearls
Here at Steve Clayton, Inc., one of the pick materials that we offer for custom pick design is white pearl. White pearl is a white pick that has a marbleized quality to it, with a shiny/glossy finish instead of being a flat color. Our custom white pearls are available in six different gauges and in both standard and rounded triangle shapes. We have noticed that designs with a lot of color tend to look especially eye-catching on our white pearl picks. Some examples are shown in the photo below. Some customers choose to have white pearl designs that are overbleed, [...]
Think Pink!
This week, we wanted to draw attention to our pink delrin custom picks at Steve Clayton. Shown here are some pink delrin pick designs that we really like. Black is the only printing option for pink delrins, but we think that the black and pink look great as a color combination. Pink delrins are also preferable for some customers because of the gauge sizes offered. We have other colored delrins available for custom printing, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. For these, the color of the pick always dictates the gauge. With the pink delrins, we offer three [...]
Springtime: Birds and Trees
Here’s another look at some cool designs that we have been producing recently. We have noticed that some great spring-time art has been submitted throughout the months of March and April. The designs shown here all use birds and trees, and we feel that this art is both aesthetically pleasing and works well on the small design space of the custom picks. It seems that birds and trees are a trend in the world of graphic art currently…and now they are showing up at Steve Clayton, Inc.! The pick materials vary for these designs. Included in the photo here are [...]
Animal Picks
Some customers choose to put photos on their picks, others just want text or a logo. Then there are the few customers that want to have a really cool animal design on their picks! We wanted to show off a few of the animal designs that we have produced recently. Even though animal designs can have a high amount of detail, such as the tiger pick shown here, they can look really great on our picks. The pick materials shown include white delrin, blue delrin, and white pearl. As you can see, we are able to create these picks whether [...]
Black and White
Lately, at the Clayton custom department, we have been noticing some really cool black and white designs created by our customers, and we wanted to show them off! All of these designs were created for white delrin picks, and they have a really classy look. Using a full bleed black and white design can create the illusion of having a patterned pick, such as the pick shown on the farthest left. There is a lot of freedom with these kinds of designs, even though only one color is used, and they are always eye-catching. Whether they are for a band, [...]
Awesome Overbleeds
At Steve Clayton, we have numerous options for picks when it comes to custom design, and one of the options that people are curious about is the full bleed (overbleed) option. When utilizing the custom pick designer on our website at www.claytoncustom.com, there is a box that website users may check to add the full bleed option to their design. This means that, instead of having a small border around the design when it is on the pick, the design
