Products used: Clayton Custom Rounded Triangle Acetal .63mm

Jon: “I worked at a music store for years and after trying nearly every pick out there I found that the Rounded Acetal Triangle pick provided me with the flexibility, grip, and durability I need.”

Brandon: “In a pile of picks, I will always find the Clayton.”

Jon Napoles and Brandon Freeman are a couple of transplants who fortuitously met in Fresno, CA. After years of dwelling in the same circle of musicians, fate (and stubbornness) would bring the two together as the last remaining full time musicians of the group. One [...]

For a Rainy Day…

Check out these cool picks! We loved the blue Flotsam design that was submitted for custom guitar picks by the band Treading Lemmings. This art was printed on our acetal guitar picks, which work great for graphics that include color backgrounds that cover most of the guitar pick, such as the blue background in this design. We also liked how the fine detail in the creative logo turned out so well, even on small guitar picks!

In March 2013, The [...]

Pick of the Week — The Dirty Flirts

The week’s Pick of the Week was created for the band The Dirty Flirts. The Dirty Flirts were born out of the love of being an avid Runaways fan and lover of Female Fronted Bands in the Punk/Rock genres. Momma Dukes (drummer) flirted (ha ha) with the idea with Dawn Sweet (Lead Vox) and after seeking out other like-minded dirty flirts like themselves they found another talented Fem Fatale “T” (Rhythm Axe), and one energized rocker Rob Luv (Lead Axe). Having a bass player issue…, and gone through two so [...]

Pick of the Week — SpaceBand

This week’s Pick of the Week was made for the band SpaceBand. SpaceBand is a cover band from Bellingham, WA that focuses on R&B/Hip-hop hits from the 90’s as well as current, chart-topping dance tunes. SpaceBand prides itself on being a 100% live cover band with no backing tracks, so no two shows are exactly alike.  To round out their repertoire, SpaceBand tastefully sprinkles in some classic rock, funk, and Motown. Todd Templeton on drums and Aeden Hunter on bass provide the solid, funky foundation on which a temple [...]

Pick of the Week — Scarlet Machine

This week’s featured Pick of the Week was made for the band Scarlet Machine. “Scarlet Machine is a four-piece rock band made up of teens from the San Francisco Bay Area. These young musicians are making music like it used to be: jamming, not manufacturing. With roots in jazz, rock and funk, Scarlet Machine is about musicianship, great songs, and energetic performances. What you see is what you get.
All too often, bands in concert sound nothing like their CD. Scarlet Machine refuses to be one of those [...]

Pick of the Week — Ghost Train Trio

This Week’s Pick of the Week was made for the band Ghost Train Trio. The custom picks were designed and ordered by Clayton Customer Pat Mackinnon, who is the Ghost Train Trio vocalist, guitar-slinger and songwriter. “His original vision was to combine rock, surf and country with a Rat Pack chaser. When double bassist Joel Putzier and drummer Dan Cunneen saddled-up to the bar, the Mackinnon vision was fulfilled. In just a few short months Ghost Train Trio has skillfully taken the bite and swagger of hard-rock and blended [...]
